Last Saturday was indeed a day of dark winter as the United States witnessed a new record 277,000 fresh COVID cases registered in a single day. The country remains the worst-affected one by the pandemic with around 20.4 million COVID cases and just under 350,000 deaths.
WHERE IS MY VACCINE??
Despite the arrival of the vaccine, and the mass vaccination already on the roll, infections are surging in recent months. Anthony Fauci, a US government scientist, fears that the worst stage of the pandemic is yet to arrive.
In such a scenario, people are asking the most common question regarding vaccination. Well, to be clear, the vaccination consists of two doses, and ideally, a person is given these doses at an interval of 4 – 6 weeks. There is a chance that you might get affected by the virus in between these two doses.
On the brighter side, around 4.2 million people in the US have received the first dose, and around 13 million doses have been distributed. However, the number still falls much behind than 20 million – as promised by the administration of President Donald Trump by the end of 2020.
This takes us towards the conclusive measure… PRECAUTION
Although the vaccine is there, do not through away your masks yet, or get rid of the sanitizers. Take every precaution and hope for the best because we are still in the middle of the pandemic, and it is in our hands if we want to make the world better or worse.
